I’m following some people on X whose views I agree with about half the time. I disagree with the other half of the views they post, many of which I would have dismissed outright in the past. If it weren’t for the 50% I agree with, I probably wouldn’t have kept following them
I’ve come to realize that’s a good thing. They’re making me a better person
We should deliberately expose ourselves to thoughtful people who challenge our beliefs. That’s how progress happens. Too many people live inside ideological silos and end up hating everyone outside them
