There is a subset of people who hate humanity because we are “destroying nature” with climate change and whatnot.
Climate change
First off, I don't believe in climate change. It used to be called global warming back in the time, remember? Now they call it climate change.
What happened?
I'm old enough to have watched the Al Gore documentary called The Inconvenient Truth. It gave me trauma in my childhood. Did the things that he mentioned, the fear-mongering, materialize?
No.
And that's not the only documentary. A lot of the things that I heard growing up about runaway global warming and all that, nothing has materialized. And now I'm smart enough to understand why they're spreading this hysteria.
These are corrupt politicians and corrupt scientists with vested interests.
Nature is wild
Humans are bad! We hate humanity!
There are these people who don't want to procreate. These people are going through a mental health crisis to the point that they don't want to procreate!
And for them, nature... Oh, nature is all good. And humans are bad.
Now it's good to enjoy the sunset, sunrise, and the calm in the jungle once in a while. Rural beauty is enjoyable. I can understand how city life with all the modern amenities can be taxing on the mind and you want to escape into nature.
But does that mean nature is all good and whatever humans have created is all bad? That's a fallacy.
If you love nature so much, try living in the jungle. Just abandon everything that humans have created, all the comfort, and try living in the state of nature. You will not survive a month.
Have you watched the movie Into the Wild?
So this romanticism with nature is irrational. I'm not saying I hate nature, but nature is all good—that's a fallacy.
Mars does not have humans. Other planets around Earth do not have humans. Then they are all nature. When you look at their photos, they look beautiful too. But can you live there?
If everything humans have created on this earth vanished tomorrow, will this place be more livable or less? Then you will know. Then it's all nature. Your beloved nature! How will nature treat you then?
Very bad.
Earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, that's nature. Wild animals who will rip you apart, that’s nature.
It's not all sunrise and sunset and the calm in the jungle. Nature is wild. Nature does not care about you. Nature does not have consciousness. Nature does not have humanity's good interests in mind. So this love of nature I think it's irrational.
Everything is natural. Everything natural is not necessarily good.
I feel sorry for the people who are taken by this irrational romanticism with nature and hate humanity.
They're brainwashed by corrupt politicians and scientists with vested interests who are spreading climate change hysteria and other nonsense, making people hate humanity.
They're doing it so that they can tax more.
Mental health crisis
Elon Musk has rightly said that the biggest threat, the biggest crisis that humanity is facing is the depopulation crisis. People are not procreating, and part of the reason for that is this hatred of humanity.
When you hate humanity and you don't want to procreate, you don't want to bring more people into the world, you lose meaning. People don't realize that. It is our operating system to procreate. Every organism is born with that operating system, and when you decide not to do that, you are bound to lose meaning.
The people who have decided not to procreate are going through a mental health crisis and their mental sickness manifests in many ways.
Humanity is precious
Humanity is precious. We should bring more people into this world. It's a beautiful place, and it's a beautiful place because we, the humans, have made it such. We need more humans here for this place to continue to be beautiful, continue to be livable, and continue to prosper.
Enjoy it and give more new humans a chance to experience this.
Would you say life is more comfortable today in 2024 than before? Certainly, even 10 years ago, I would say there were fewer comforts in my life.
We are constantly inventing new things, new technologies that are filling our lives with more and more comfort, more and more sense of wonder—AI, computing, automobiles. Whatever you look at.
It fills me with wonder and excitement for the future because life is improving.
I would not call that destruction. By what metric is Earth getting destroyed? This is such a wrong frame to live with!
